None of my tasks are failing...they all are validating.

With these new "10" tasks I am still seeing a limit of only 4 tasks for my computer. As a result Boinc spends more time on my other projects and not on Gaia. Could we get the limit to at least two tasks per thread?

I am running a 4 core computer and I am running into "reached the limit of tasks in progress."
I am also seeing tasks being returned from my computer but the server still thinks they are in progress. But these seem to correct themselves in time. It is definitely related as these tasks are in batches of 4, and I wont get any new tasks until the server resolves itself.

It feels like the change from 1 to 4 stated by zupa is now 4 for the computer not 4 per thread.

I think this is too low as it doesn't take into account the finished WUs that are waiting to be returned. (Waiting to return tasks are counted against the limit.) So my computer, starved of Gaia tasks, grabs tasks from other projects, as those projects sent more than 1 task per core, my cores are often filled with those tasks instead of Gaia task. Furthermore. I have a 16 core computer but it wont send me more than 15 tasks.

These 8.33 point tasks are crap. If they are valid tasks then the points are stupidly low. It they are invalid tasks there should be code to fix/kill them as they seem quite regular in their occurrence. Although I had thought they were suspended without checkpoints and not recovering but I am now getting them even without any suspending of the task.

I get 8 points on the 5 hour jobs (I think this is the processing limit max time) for any task that gets restarted, that is after I have shut down my computer for servicing or whatever. Check pointing would be really helpful.

They seem to be running fine...credits, however is another challenge.
The first batch of 16 tasks returned approximately 50cr/task, the second and third batch of 16 returned approximately 30cr/task. The work done by my computer appears to be the same between the three batches but the credits awarded are not the same for equivalent work.

I have 1 wu where stop signal break calulation after 1.5 h and credit add to results.
4 out of 16 tasks were stopped after 1.5 hours run time.

Mine are running into the 10 hour time frame and finishing but saying they are using zero cpu time and only running for about 1.5 hours.

By the looks of things yours are the 2_Gaia tasks that are long running not the revised 3_Gaia tasks.

This WU http://150.254.66.104/gaiaathome/workunit.php?wuid=1164886, the first two tasks were aborted after long run times. However the third task seemed to run for the normal length of time and was valid. So why were two tasks screwy and yet the WU still ended up having good results? Is there still some sort of calculation bug in the system that would lead one set of hardware to go to an infinite loop yet another set of hardware runs just fine?

No project should be using credit-new....it is so prone to error and wonky results.

Too many long running tasks that end in error...I have decided to set my machine to no new tasks for the time being until the current kinks are worked out.

The revised 2_Gaia have a large drop in credits today compared to earlier (yesterday). I assume this change happened after a fix to stop the timeouts as my machine is now running tasks longer. I am fine with 40-60 cr/hour on this machine, however, the current WUs are at 9.15 credits regardless of time which results in 2 to 3 cr/hour.

...something got messed up somewhere....
