Posted 22 Feb 2023 by Conan Post: Have had 11 of these now, but out of over 2.000 work units done it is a low amount of failures. Just that they do run awhile before they fail. Funny thing is a lot of long running tasks do finish without error as well, so you might be aborting a perfectly fine work unit thinking it has gone into a loop due to run time. Conan |

Posted 10 Apr 2021 by Conan Post: 200 for 4 to 5 hours work is not too bad, I have seen far worse on some other projects. Fixed credit is a preferred option to guard against people who see the need to cheat, might not beat them but reduces there effect on the project. Conan |

Posted 15 Jan 2021 by Conan Post: Still getting 8.33 points per all my 5 hour work units, that is just 1.6 credits per hour. I have reduced my resource share at this project to no longer be my main project, the return seems minimal for the work done. I am all for doing it for science but the only way anyone knows I have contributed is by my point balance, and at the moment it is not moving (60 hours of work for less than 100 points). If things don't improve I may drop the resource share even further but if it does improve then I may put it back where I had it and make this my main project again, here is hoping anyway. Credits were OK up till the 11th but then it just dropped on the 12th to a set 8.33, what changed? Conan |
