I'm running gaia@home on my own PC, but I cannot guarantee that I'll have 2 hours per day to use my PC on weekdays.

So, if you could consider to extend the period of each task from 2 days to, for example, 7 days, I could run it more smoothly by using weekends.

Thank you.

There's a bigger problem. There's no point in picking up tasks if your computer can't see them through to completion as the project doesn't checkpoint.
Every time you shutdown your computer you are essentially starting your task from 0 the next time you start up.
The tasks have to be on a short leash, otherwise someone could load up many and never complete any.
Until they implement checkpointing, you should download no more than you expect to complete for the amount of time you expect to leave your computer on.
I don't run my computer full time either, so I never take more than one task per thread.
The good news is, the server has run out of tasks to send us for now, so number crunchers aren't the limiting factor.

For me, it isn't a big problem that have no checkpoint, because basically I use sleep mode every day instead of shutdown.
In my case ,the computer use less than 1W in sleep mode, my power meter cannot measure it out.
So, for me, the big problem is the period of each task.

I use my computer more than 5 hours in weekend, but only 1 ~ 2 hours in weekdays.
