Hi, all my Gaia_8 WU's error similar to this one below. I notice that sometimes my Linux wingman also fails the same . The same machine runs WU's for milkyway & spacious@home fine

It's running on a standard Debian 12 machine, GenuineIntel

I would guess the application requires some instructions that your CPU doesnt support, like SSE4 or AVX.

Thanks, that could be it, it had similar problems with Gaia_4 too BTW

If so It would be good if the apps section indicated that was a requirement , as this machine does meet the Linux running on an AMD x86_64 or Intel EM64T CPU requirement, and is able to run all work units from asteroids, milkyway,spacious, Rosetta, WCG and einstein without issue

The machine needs a refresh so am putting Debian 13 on it tomorrow, I'll see if that helps

Updated to debian 13 and boinc 8.20, but still errors. I suspect the project needs to feature of the CPU, which while understandable, should really be made clear, or coded around
